Description

Hunter's Chicken is a typical Tuscan dish, very rustic and definitely delicious. This recipe is perfect for a family dinner and all those times when you want to show that chicken can be cooked in a creative and fun way, not just roasted.

During the Christmas holidays, the Hunter's Chicken, although long-cooked, does not require great skills in preparation. It will be the solution for occasions with many guests and many things to think about.

In all versions of this recipe, the start is a sauté, some prefer the version without bacon and with red wine or with tomato paste instead of fresh tomato. In some cases, to make the Hunter's Chicken, only the thighs are preferred, but as in all recipes, Hunter's Chicken can be cooked according to your taste and your experience in the kitchen.

Procedure

1

To prepare the Hunter's Chicken, first of all, clean the celery and the carrot and cut them into small pieces. Clean the onion and dice it.

2

Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a pan and sauté everything. Take the chicken, clean it and cut it into pieces with the help of a chicken cutter then put it to brown with the vegetables often turning so that the browning is uniform. It will take at least 20 minutes.

3

At this point you can deglaze with a glass of white wine. When the wine has almost completely evaporated, remove the chicken from the pan and place it on a plate. Insert the chopped cherry tomatoes so that they cook and form the sauce.

4

After about 15 minutes, add the chicken pieces again and let them cook over low heat for another ten minutes.

5

Serve the hot Hunter's Chicken at the table and do not let your guests miss a good red wine.
