Description

The meat rolls in sauce, remind us of traditional cooking, that of grandmothers who, during Sunday lunches, filled the second course dishes with a sinuous sauce and a very tender meat. As with all traditional recipes, each family keeps its secrets to make excellent rolls of meat in sauce, but the important thing is to use, as always, quality ingredients and a lot of love.

In addition to beef rolls, also the chicken rolls can be prepared in sauce, for a lighter and unusual yield. Even turkey meat lends itself to the preparation of creative rolls and tasty to propose as a second course or as a dish for the Sunday brunch.

Procedure

1

Start preparing the sauce for your rolls. In a large pan, fry the peeled and finely chopped onion in extra virgin olive oil. Add the crushed peeled tomatoes with a fork, adjust with salt and pepper and cook over low heat.

2

In the meantime prepare the meat rolls. On a surface, spread the slices of meat, cover them with a slice of rolled bacon, a level tablespoon of grated cheese and a sprinkle of chopped parsley.

3

Adjust with salt and pepper and roll up the rolls fixing them with wooden skewers or small skewers. Dip the rolls in the tomato sauce and cook for 30 minutes. Serve the meat rolls in sauce with slices of crispy bread.
