Turkey skewers with peppers and onion

The summer skewers will make your barbecue even more inviting and colorful. Preparing these delicious skewers with turkey bites, peppers and onions is very simple and in addition to the taste you will gain in lightness!
The skewers with turkey bites are perfect if accompanied by a fresh sauce like the tzatziki of Greek origin or a simpler yogurt sauce. To prepare these skewers, soak the wooden skewers in cold water for about 30 minutes, then dry them with a clean cloth. This little trick will not burn the wood during cooking.
Procedure
To obtain soft and succulent skewers, it is necessary to proceed with the marinating of the turkey. Put the turkey bites in a glass bowl and add oil, lemon juice and a very fine chop of aromatic herbs. Cover the bowl with cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator from 30 minutes to 2 hours. In the meantime wash the peppers, cut them in half and remove the seeds and internal filaments, then cut them into squares of 2 cm per side.
Peel the onions and cut them first in half, then into quarters and then again in half on the short side. Drain the turkey from the marinade, skewer a bite, two squares of pepper and a piece of onion, continue like this until the ingredients are exhausted. During cooking brush the skewers with the marinade.
Cook the skewers on the hot grill and when they are well cooked on all sides serve them adding a pinch of salt and a grind of black pepper.
