Description

Devil's Chicken gets its name not from the spiciness of the recipe, but from the fact that it is cooked on a lively fire in a pan. With this recipe you can make children happy who will delight in eating the crust that will form on the skin.

Devil's Chicken is easy to prepare and is foolproof for the most clumsy of cooks, once you learn this simple recipe you can use it for Sunday lunch, but also for a dinner with friends.

Procedure

1

To cook the devil's chicken first prepare the dressing by mixing the oil with the chili pepper, salt, finely crushed thyme and rosemary and the juniper berries. Then, with a chicken cutter, cut the chicken along the back so that you can flatten it in the pan.

2

Brush the chicken with the dressing all over the surface. Then turn on the fire to a very lively flame, keep the chicken well flattened and cover with the lid.

3

Turn the chicken halfway through cooking during at least 3 or 4 times in 50 minutes.

4

While the chicken is cooking in the pan you can prepare the side dish: the best one is made with oven-roasted potatoes, but if you want a light lunch you just need to season some seasonal salad.

5

Bring the chicken to the table and then portion it with the chicken cutter.
