320 g basmati rice

Description

If you've never tried Indian cuisine for fear that you might not like it, at least you should try making this turkey stew.

A fragrant basmati rice accompanies, like bread, the turkey stew flavored with Indian spices, which bind and blend thanks to the yogurt in a very delicate way.

Here's the recipe!

Procedure

1

Marinate the turkey with the low-fat yogurt, add the squeezed lemon and the curry powder for about an hour.

2

In the meantime, in a pan, sauté the onion and garlic with a drizzle of oil.

3

As soon as they are golden, add the curry, chili pepper, and chopped ginger. Leave on moderate heat for 15 minutes with a cup of hot water.

4

When the water has evaporated, add the turkey and brown it for 20 minutes.

5

To prepare the basmati rice side dish, wash the grains several times until the water is clear. After this operation, soak the rice in water for 20 minutes. These steps are necessary to prevent the rice from turning into a mush.

6

In a pan, pour a cup and a half of cold water for each cup of rice. Turn on low or moderate heat and cook without ever stirring. When the water has evaporated, the rice will be ready, so be careful not to burn it. It will take 10-15 minutes.

7

When the rice is cooked, cover the pan with the lid and let it rest for a few more minutes before serving.
