Description

What we propose is a quick and tasty recipe, suitable for every season and easy to prepare: the lemon turkey bites!

Cooking them is simple, quick and the result will be fully satisfying: here is the complete recipe with ingredients and procedure.

Procedure

1

To cook the lemon turkey bites you will first need to arrange and prepare all the necessary ingredients for the recipe, and then proceed with its realization.

2

First, finely chop the onion, then grate the lemon zest, being careful not to reach the white part, because this contains the bitter taste of the citrus; then cut the lemon in half and squeeze it collecting the juice in a bowl. Finally take the sprig of rosemary, detach the needles and chop these too.

3

Now that you have all the ingredients at your disposal, proceed with the preparation of the meat. In a non-stick pan, gently fry the chopped onion in the butter (or oil), until it becomes transparent.

4

In the meantime, take the turkey fillets and cut them into cubes; spread the flour on a plate and flour the meat well.

5

Transfer the turkey bites to the pan in the sauté, raise the flame and sear them for a few minutes, stirring: then pour the white wine, let it evaporate, lower the heat and add the lemon juice.

6

Season with salt and pepper and also add the rosemary that you had previously chopped, then continue cooking for five minutes, adding the lemon zest.

7

At this point you only have two minutes of cooking left, in which you can adjust the consistency of the flavored cream that, in the meantime, will have formed in the pan (if you find it too thick, you can pour a little water and stir well).

8

Your lemon turkey bites are ready: plate and serve them immediately!

Suggestions

The lemon turkey bites are a second course with delicate and pleasant flavors, thanks mainly to the freshness of the lemon. They can be served to those who want a light meal, but at the same time nutritious, or simply cooked for a different lunch to take to work.

The flavoring with rosemary, moreover, gives this dish an extra touch of taste, while remaining within light, fresh and Mediterranean flavors. Butter is the only ingredient in the whole recipe that slightly weighs down the dish, but it is still a small amount and can also be replaced with extra virgin olive oil. You can also cook the dish choosing not to use fats, avoiding butter, you just need to prevent the meat from sticking by simply adding a spoonful of water if necessary.

The turkey is also a white meat, easy and quick to digest and with a low caloric intake, recommended in low-calorie diets.
