Description

The chocolate muffins are small sweets of English origin, similar in consistency to the classic plumcake, but with a rounded shape that resembles a mushroom or a soufflé.

Now widespread also in Italy, these soft sweets can be prepared in many different ways, both smooth and enriched with delicious fillings. The recipe in this case involves the use of cocoa and dark chocolate in the dough: for the Halloween decorations, you can instead give space to your imagination and - why not - get help from your children!

So here are the ingredients and procedure to make soft chocolate muffins for Halloween.

Procedure

1

In a bowl, mix the softened butter with the sugar and a pinch of salt, using an electric whisk.

2

Add the eggs one at a time, always mixing with the whisk, then also pour the sifted flour, cocoa and yeast.

3

Now also pour the warm milk in a thin stream, continuing to blend, until the mixture is homogeneous.

4

Finally, add the dark chocolate reduced into small pieces. Stir again with a spoon to amalgamate and distribute the dough in the muffin cups.

5

Transfer the muffins to a baking sheet and bake in a static oven at 180°C for 25 minutes: always check the internal cooking with a toothpick.

6

Remove the chocolate muffins from the oven and let them cool at room temperature. Decorate as you like.
