Procedure

First of all, clean the carrots, celery and onion and make a fine chop that you will sauté in a pan with two tablespoons of EVO oil.

When the vegetables have wilted, also insert the half cut into small pieces and peeled. Let it wilt then pour the milk and half a teaspoon of turmeric. Let it cook over low heat until the sauce has reduced by half. Adjust with salt, turn off the heat and keep warm.

The recipe for meatballs in apple sauce now becomes even easier: in another pan, greased with a drizzle of oil, cook the meatballs, tossing them often. It will take 10 minutes for the meatballs to be ready.
